Job Summary
Managing Consultant, Environmental Compliance at ERM focuses on leading complex environmental compliance programs for global clients. You’ll lead high-visibility projects that drive regulatory compliance and operational excellence, develop and manage permits and compliance programs (air quality, hazardous waste, stormwater, NPDES, TRI, Tier II), conduct Phase I Environmental Site Assessments, provide on-site EHS support as needed, mentor junior staff, and contribute to business development and client account growth. Travel up to 20% is required; the role involves client engagement, mentoring, and delivering projects on time and within scope while adhering to ERM quality standards. The base pay range is $90,000–$126,493 annually, with comprehensive benefits.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemical, Civil, Environmental, Mechanical Engineering, or related field or equivalent experience
- 4+ years of environmental compliance experience (consulting and permitting strongly preferred)
- Working knowledge of key regulations (CAA, CWA, RCRA, EPCRA, OPA)
- Strong analytical, organizational, and technical writing skills
- Experience managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced, client-focused environment
- Proficiency in data analysis tools (Excel, databases)
- Willingness to travel up to 20%
