Job Summary
Lead family law cases from intake to trial or resolution: divorce, custody, support, alimony, and paternity. Litigate family law cases from inception to settlement or trial. Meet divorce clients with empathy and strong advocacy. Develop strategic case approaches through thorough research and analysis. Draft legal pleadings, motions, briefs, and court documents. Explain complex legal issues and support clients throughout their domestic relations case. Advocate for clients in family law court, mediations, and depositions. Negotiate and finalize settlements. Stay abreast of family law statutes and case law. Collaborate with a dedicated, supportive legal team. Consistently deliver results and meet deadlines, communicating case statuses to the partnership on a regular basis.
Required Qualifications
- Extensive NC Family Law attorney experience
- JD from accredited law school
- Litigation and trial experience
- Active North Carolina Bar license
- Ability to manage associate attorneys
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
- Compassionate, client-focused work ethic
- Ownership mindset and drive to succeed
