Job Summary
Lead a team of attorneys and paralegals representing minors in removal proceedings before EOIR, USCIS, and Family Court. Direct supervising attorneys and paralegals through regular check-ins, case reviews, and performance evaluations while carrying a caseload for direct representation and mentoring pro bono counsel. Collaborate with senior legal management to analyze and create legal strategies, organizational policies, and initiatives, while building relationships with Long Island partners. Work within a hybrid environment reporting to the Legal Director, supporting a mission to provide free legal services to over 3,000 immigrant children annually.
Required Qualifications
- J.D. degree
- admission to a state bar
- admission to the New York State Bar
- Six (6) or more years of immigration law experience
- at least three (3) years of experience supervising other attorneys and support staff
- Strong database and computer skills
- Excellent multitasking and project management abilities
- a proven track record of handling complex projects efficiently
- Excellent writing, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Exceptional organizational, time management, and record-keeping skills
- A high level of discretion in handling confidential information
- Proven adaptability and flexibility in a dynamic and fast-paced environment

- A demonstrated ability to understand, communicate with, and effectively interact with people across cultures
