Job Summary
Manage the daily operations of Catholic Charities of Oregon's Immigration Legal Services department, lead and mentor staff including attorneys and DOJ-accredited representatives, supervise casework and compliance with ABA and state bar standards, oversee volunteers and interns, handle complex caseloads (asylum, removal defense, U Visas, VAWA) before USCIS/EOIR, collaborate with the Leadership Team on strategic objectives, coordinate funding efforts through government contracts and private donations, implement program-wide procedures, and ensure confidentiality and integration with other agency programs.
Required Qualifications
- JD degree from an accredited law school
- Active license to practice law in any U.S. state
- Five years experience in the practice of immigration law
- Minimum of three years progressive supervisory experience of attorneys and/or DOJ accredited representatives
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
- Background screening requirements including pre-employment criminal and civil checks; MVR as needed
