Job Summary
Manager, Workforce Development & Retention at GFL to design and lead strategies that ensure the employee journey from onboarding to promotions is strong and scalable. Responsibilities include onboarding redesign, retention initiatives, employee survey administration and stay interviews, turnover analysis and actionable reporting, career pathing, internal hiring strategy, talent development with frontline leadership training, L&D partnerships, and the overhaul of job architecture and competency models to standardize descriptions and expectations across roles. Focus areas include improving onboarding, reducing turnover, internal mobility, and ensuring clear career frameworks while collaborating with department heads and frontline supervisors to translate high-level goals into practical training and development plans.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years in People Operations, Talent Management, or Employee Experience with a proven track record of building programs from the ground up
