Job Summary
Manager, Work-Based Learning oversees coordination of internships and Work-Based Learning opportunities for students in transition programs (Pre-ETS, Project Search). Responsibilities include teaching, counseling, supporting adolescents/young adults with IDD to maximize independence through skill development and pre-vocational training; managing relationships with families, employers, and community providers; securing and stewarding community-based WBL sites; onboarding and assessing student progress; collaborating with teams to ensure program alignment and compliance; travel locally/regionally/nationally; assist with grant stewardship and program awareness campaigns; requires strong presentation, facilitation, project and time management skills, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Required Qualifications
- 2 years experience in job coaching, counseling, or special education; or Bachelor’s Degree in a related field such as rehabilitation, counseling, social work, psychology, education, human resources, business administration, or economics and one year of related experience; preferably 1 year experience as employment consultant or transitions program; ability to travel locally/regionally/nationally; strong communication and relationship-building skills; comfortable with individuals with IDD; ability to work evenings and weekends as needed; access to automobile with insurance; employment contingent upon accreditation by governing state agency.
