Job Summary

Plan, organize, and direct all aspects of volunteer services, including recruitment, orientation, utilization, and support. Establish protocols ensuring compliance with The Joint Commission standards and applicable laws. Develop partnerships with internal and external peers to facilitate initiatives and resolve issues. Lead and mentor teams in volunteer labor issues while maintaining solid clinical proficiency to coordinate patient care. Interpret and implement state, federal, and accreditation standards to ensure effective and efficient delivery of services consistent with organizational policies.

Required Qualifications

  • Equivalent experience will be accepted in lieu of the required degree or diploma
  • Associate's Bachelor's or Master's
  • 8 years of recent relevant experience
  • 3-4 years of leading teams in a non-for-profit organization
  • Knowledge of accepted business practices including budgeting and budget reporting
  • People and motivational skills
  • Ability to lead, teach and develop a team
  • Ability to work and understand a inter-generational and multi-cultural environment
  • Ability to understand systems and how to best function in a support role in a complex and large organization
  • Solid organizational skills
  • Basic computer skills
  • Organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize multiple projects while delivering quality service and achieving business results
  • Demonstrates a customer service focus in all decisions and actions
  • Demonstrates ability to work/interact with a diverse population while respecting cultural and linguistic differences and fostering an inclusive work environment
  • Demonstrated leadership skills, including team building, and coaching/mentoring with the ability to motivate and engage others
  • Demonstrates solid clinical proficiency and knowledge to effectively plan and coordinate patient care consistent with applicable laws, standards and regulations
  • Working knowledge and thorough understanding of state/federal/local and/or accreditation standards and requirements as its relations to operations and organization, with the ability interpret and implement applicable standards and requirements
