Job Summary
Lead the team of 8-10 people to deliver client service through interactions and oversee day-to-day operations across the Industry while aligning with organizational goals. Develop a strong AM group committed to integrity, identify trends in completeness and accuracy, and communicate analysis conclusions on reported figures. Monitor team performance, optimize resource allocation, and handle complex projects with minimal guidance. Manage the team directly by allocating tasks, tracking progress, conducting reviews, and providing coaching, while mentoring associates on advanced accounting practices and financial statement preparation. Execute assigned audit and accounting tasks, engage with clients and seniors for collaborative completion, and contribute to process improvements and advisory initiatives.
Required Qualifications
- Experience of financial statement reviews, preparation of complex
- Experience in Non-profit industry accounting
- At least 6 years of job-related experience in the public accounting field with an emphasis on U.S. GAAP accounting specifically related to small to mid-size businesses
- At least 6 years of job-related experience as a controller for a small to mid-size U.S. company
- Recent QBO or Intacct or similar accounting package
- Prior supervisory and training experience
- Prior accounting software experience
- Prior business management experience
Desired Qualifications
- QuickBooks ProAdvisor certification is a plus but not required at the time of interview and hire (will be required to be obtained after starting)
