Job Summary
Senior Analyst or Manager in Deloitte's Financial Risk Management team, Sydney. Deliver financial risk and model validation engagements across traded market risk and credit risk; support audit engagements related to financial instruments, including derivatives valuation and fair value assessments; contribute to Treasury and balance sheet risk projects (liquidity, funding, ALM); assess and challenge models, methodologies, and risk frameworks; collaborate across Risk, Treasury, Finance, and Audit functions; requires experience with financial risk, modelling, or financial instruments, and proficiency in Python, R, SQL, or MATLAB; strong communication to non-technical stakeholders and a collaborative mindset. The role emphasizes in-person client interactions with flexible working options and a focus on impactful banking/financial services engagements.
Required Qualifications
- 4+ years of experience in market risk, credit risk, model validation, or financial instruments
- Exposure to derivatives, valuation, or financial instruments audit support
- Experience working with or reviewing risk or pricing models
- Strong interest in financial markets and risk management
- Ability to communicate complex concepts to non-technical stakeholders
- A collaborative and adaptable mindset
- Experience with tools such as Python, R, SQL, or MATLAB
- Exposure to Treasury or balance sheet risk (liquidity, funding, ALM)
- Prior experience supporting audit engagements
