Job Summary
Lead and manage The Royal's Project Management Office, overseeing project portfolios, standards, and delivery of strategic initiatives. Support multi-year transformation strategies, annual planning, and alignment between accreditation requirements and operational goals. Establish policy programs, monitor compliance with legislative reporting, and provide governance oversight for risk and regulatory requirements. Coordinate activities with internal teams, third-party vendors, and regional hospital representatives to ensure stakeholder commitments are met. Monitor project performance, timelines, and budgets while implementing corrective actions as needed. Provide leadership, coaching, and performance management for PMO and Policy staff. Ensure program deliverables are reported to senior leadership annually.
Required Qualifications
- Master's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Master of Health Administration (MHA), Master of Business Administration (MBA), or Master of Public Health (MPH))
- 5 to 7 years of progressive leadership experience in healthcare transformation, risk management, or operational leadership within a hospital or healthcare system in Ontario
- Demonstrated experience leading complex, multi-stakeholder change initiatives with measurable impact
- Experience working in unionized environments and applying the principles of collective agreement administration
- In-depth knowledge of Ontario's healthcare regulatory environment, funding models, risk governance, and quality improvement methodologies
- English level A- is mandatory in oral expression, oral comprehension, reading comprehension and written expression
- Advanced leadership and team management skills, including coaching and performance management
- Conflict management and change management expertise
- Clear conceptual and analytical thinking
- High proficiency in project management and change management methodologies
- Ability to deal effectively with internal and external stakeholders
- Agility in a fast-paced work environment, covering multiple sites and multi-disciplinary teams
- Ability to synthesize complex information and communicate with clarity and precision to diverse audiences, including executive, clinical, and front-line teams
Desired Qualifications
- Professional certification/designation preferred, such as Certified Healthcare Executive (CHE), Project Management Professional (PMP), Canadian Risk Management (CRM), or Prosci Change Management Certification (PROSCI)
- Bilingual (French/English)
