Manager, Training and Employee Development

Job Summary

Manage and lead education and training programs for field service, safety, sales, and business functions, with an emphasis on human performance development. Coordinate resources to deliver instruction on power systems, preventive maintenance, engineering, and safety standards including NETA, NFPA, and IEEE. Provide oversight of classrooms, lab equipment, and training materials while ensuring compliance with industry regulations. Develop course content, manage LMS support, and coordinate third-party training such as Megger and Valence. Assess training needs, create assessments, and enforce safety guidelines and classroom conduct. Conduct course audits to maintain quality control and support employee NETA certification advancement. Provide on-site assistance for Field Services and Sales training, review student feedback, and implement continuous improvement initiatives. Travel to various training sites and customer locations as required.

Required Qualifications

  • Graduate Engineer (BSEE)
  • minimum of 6 years in related electrical power field engineering and training
  • graduate of applicable electrical technical school or military equivalent
  • minimum of 10 years in related electrical power field engineering training experience
  • Experience/Knowledge in adult learning methods
  • emotional intelligence
  • 6D's
  • The Kirkpatrick Learning Model
  • Strong knowledge of the National Electrical Code
  • various industry standards, such as OSHA, NETA, and NFPA
  • Strong background and experience in all types of switchgear and equipment testing
  • Thorough knowledge of electrical apparatus testing
