Job Summary
Manager Trainee - Operations program based in BioLife centers with a structured 12-month training phase designed to build leadership and operations skills, followed by an additional 6 months to advance into an Assistant Manager role. The program includes hands-on experience in operational production, regulatory compliance and quality, team leadership, and exposure to audit processes, with opportunities to travel to BioLife locations nationwide. After program completion and promotion, relocation to one of BioLife’s locations is required. Responsibilities include donor floor operations support, customer service excellence, compliance with SOPs and regulatory requirements, and developing skills in mentoring, feedback delivery, and collaboration across diverse teams. The role emphasizes creating life-changing medicines, achieving production and cost goals, and participating in a comprehensive benefits package and travel opportunities.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent leadership experience (approximately 3 years)
- Willingness to travel up to 85% (program dependent)
- Valid CPR/AED certification (or willingness to obtain during the program)
- Ability to work a variety of shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Ability to walk and/or stand for the entire work shift
- Ability to lean, bend, stoop, crouch, and reach above shoulders and below knees
- Ability to frequently lift up to 32 lbs. and occasionally up to 50 lbs.
- Fine motor coordination, depth perception, and ability to monitor equipment from a distance
- Due to potential exposure to bloodborne pathogens (risk level 1), 90% of work tasks require prolonged glove wear
