Job Summary
Manage a small driver count and non-traditional shifts to ensure safe, timely freight movement, load assignment, and best-in-class customer service. Build positive relationships with drivers and carriers to minimize turnover while optimizing fleet operations and profitability. Handle administrative duties including payroll, budget management, driver counseling, and P&L analysis. Assign loads, route freight, and resolve service issues, mechanical problems, and accessorial pay concerns throughout the day. Maintain DOT compliance and safety culture through daily messages, briefings, and training. Fill in for absent personnel and work across multiple shifts including nights and weekends.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Transportation/Logistics, Supply Chain, or related field
- High School Diploma/GED
- 1 year of experience in management, transportation/logistics, business administration, account management, or related field
- equivalent military experience
- Willingness to travel to account, customer, and company event locations
- Ability to work across multiple shifts including nights and/or weekends
