Job Summary
Manager Trainee role within HSBC's Reporting Operations for Liquidity Reporting. Responsibilities include producing and reviewing liquidity reports such as the Liquidity Coverage Ratio (LCR), Net Stable Funding Ratio (NSFR), PRA 110, Internal Liquidity Metric (ILM), Additional Monitoring Metrics (AMM) reports, and ALCO packs; liaising with in-country teams; understanding financial products, market product knowledge, and regulatory reporting frameworks; implementing new reports per group framework; and maintaining control requirements with risk stewardship guidelines. The candidate should have a graduate-level background in finance or engineering, strong data-analysis capabilities, and proficient communication skills to convey insights to a global audience. The role is based in Chennai, India, and is an entry-level, full-time position with opportunities to work across regional or group reporting operations.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate position – CA (Chartered Accountant) or MBA (Finance) or Engineering degree
- Understanding of reviewing large data sets and deriving insights
- Knowledge of liquidity reporting systems (e.g., Moody's, Finarch, Big Data) and regulatory reporting frameworks (Basel III) is advantageous
- Strong attention to detail and communication skills (oral and written)
- MS Office proficiency (PowerPoint, Excel) and banking domain familiarity
