Job Summary
Research, analyze, and interpret U.S. international trade laws to advise departments on ITAR, EAR, OFAC, and FTR compliance. Prepare, submit, and administer export license applications, Technical Assistance Agreements, and Commerce licenses while validating exemptions. Review and approve international shipments, foreign travel, and visitor activities, ensuring adherence to licenses and regulations. Maintain export and import records per regulatory requirements and company policy. Review proposals, contracts, and purchase orders, participating in technical programmatic discussions for business area programs. This role supports Peraton's legal department in serving U.S. government agencies across intelligence, space, cyber, and defense markets.
Required Qualifications
- At least 10 years of trade compliance experience
- Trade compliance experience must be with a government contractor
- Detail oriented with a high degree of accuracy required
- Strong organizational skills with demonstrated experience managing multiple deadlines
- Excellent written, verbal communication and interpersonal skills
- US Citizenship
Desired Qualifications
- Experience is preferred in entering and managing export authorizations in Oracle's GTM, DECCS, SNAP-R and CBP's AES
