Job Summary
Process Move Order Requests, validate commercial invoices, packing lists, and waybills, and determine HS classifications, ECCN codes, and certificates of origin for hardware shipments. Lead a distributed team of analysts and coordinators, managing workload allocation, 16x5 coverage, hiring, and technical certifications for dangerous goods and customs compliance. Resolve customs blocks and holds, approve hazardous commodity shipments, and manage broker and forwarder performance against agreed metrics. Maintain the country-compliance audit tracker, deliver monthly reporting, and defend against audits while driving automation and cost-avoidance initiatives. Partner with Order Management, procurement, logistics partners, and the client's trade organization to ensure 100% regulatory compliance across AMER, EMEA, APAC, and LATAM regions.
Required Qualifications
- 8–12+ years in international trade, customs compliance, global logistics or cross-border supply-chain operations
- 3+ years of people management
- Expert command of global import/export regulations
- Expert command of HS classifications
- Expert command of ECCN codes
- Expert command of Incoterms (DDP vs. DAP)
- Expert command of Importer / Exporter of Record (IOR / EOR) liabilities
- Proven ownership of compliance service levels and KPIs across a managed-operations or shared-services team
- Team spanning AMER, EMEA, APAC and LATAM
- Demonstrated authority over dangerous-goods transport regulation
- IATA / ADR lithium-battery compliance
- UN3481 / UN3491
- Approving restricted-commodity shipments
- Hands-on experience owning customs escalations
- Broker and forwarder performance management
- ATA Carnets
