Job Summary
Facilitate technology market transformation for regional buildings and industry by convening stakeholders through advisory and working groups. Lead research and tool development projects while managing external consultants, tracking budgets, and overseeing deliverables for cold-climate heat pumps, high-efficiency water heating, and building envelope measures. Collaborate with state energy offices, utilities, manufacturers, and contractors to drive high-efficiency practices across Northeast and Mid-Atlantic states. Manage complex, multi-year grant budgets and apply strategic thinking to inform program decisions.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of progressively senior experience in project management, energy efficiency, and stakeholder engagement
- Demonstrated project management skills
- Accountability for project deliverables and financial systems
- Ability to collect, organize, analyze, disseminate, and interpret relevant industry data
- Ability to place NEEP within the industry and apply knowledge to strategic decision-making
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate internally and externally
- Ability to develop budgets and track compliance for complex, multi-year grants
- Ability to communicate program area strategy and activities
- Strategic thinking and planning for program area
- Ability to support team members
- Applicants must reside in one of NEEP's 13 states/jurisdictions in the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic region (Connecticut, Delaware, District of Columbia, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, Vermont, West Virginia)
- The position is exempt and scheduled 40 hours per week
- NEEP is a remote office and offers employees a flexible schedule
Desired Qualifications
- Advanced degree preferred but not required
- Subject matter expertise in one or more of these areas preferred but not required: building energy efficiency and decarbonization (single family residential, multi-family residential, commercial building sectors), heating and hot water electrification, industrial energy efficiency and decarbonization, building envelope technologies, contractor workforce development
