Job Summary
Manager Team Lead SQL Systems engineering leader role overseeing global SQL platforms, data warehousing, and AI/ML data integration. Hands-on technical leadership including writing and optimizing SQL code, ETL, BI/reporting, and mentoring DBAs, data engineers, and BI/AI developers. Responsibilities include end-to-end data infrastructure design, cloud migrations, 24/7 reliability, and driving AI-driven analytics initiatives across distributed teams. Emphasizes leadership, data governance, KPI tracking, incident root-cause analysis, and enterprise-scale SQL environments with high availability and DR. Location at Greensboro, NC with no sponsorship.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
- 7-8 years of experience managing large-scale SQL Server environments in enterprise settings
- Proven leadership experience managing distributed data engineering teams
- Strong technical knowledge of SQL Server (Clustering, AlwaysOn, Replication, Log Shipping, CDC), Data Warehousing (SSIS, SSRS, Power BI, Tableau), AI/ML integrations using Python, R, or Azure ML, Modern architectures (Microservices, Event Streaming, Data Lakes, Hybrid Cloud), Cloud data platforms (AWS RDS, Azure SQL, or similar) and experience with MS SQL, MySQL, NoSQL
