Manager-Tax

Manager, Tax at Welch LLP in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. Hybrid leveraging Flexible Work Policy. In this role you will review corporate, trust, partnership and personal tax returns and various tax elections, provide strategic tax planning to clients, supervise and mentor junior staff, participate in income tax planning and consulting, and develop technical solutions. You will act as a technical resource for staff, oversee preparation of voluntary disclosures for corporate tax issues, conduct tax research, attend workshops to stay current on tax issues, and contribute to internal training. Requirements include a university degree in Accounting, a minimum of 4 years in public accounting with a focus on Canadian tax, at least 2 years in a supervisory/management role, CPA designation (or nearing completion), experience with TaxPrep is a strong asset, proficiency in MS Office, knowledge of Canadian tax regulations, strong planning and communication skills in English (bilingualism is an asset).
