Job Summary
Manager, Tax in Calgary responsible for managing the preparation, review, and timely filing of Canadian corporate tax returns, partnership filings, foreign reporting, and all required elections; coordinating the income tax provision including IFRS disclosures; researching complex tax issues; leading tax forecasting and planning; assisting with tax-related projects (financing and M&A due diligence); maintaining tax calculations for surplus, Pillar II, safe income, and ACB; managing tax audits and coordinating data with authorities and external consultants; communicating findings to key decision-makers; requires Canadian CPA designation, Bachelor’s in accounting/finance, CPA In-Depth Tax, 7-10 years post-qualification, supervisory experience, cross-border tax compliance experience, and strong communication and Excel skills. Salary: $145,000 - $153,000 annually; hybrid work options; Calgary office; comprehensive benefits.
Required Qualifications
- Canadian CPA designation
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or related field
- Completion of CPA In-Depth Tax Program
- Minimum 7-10 years of post-qualification-related experience
- Prior managerial or supervisory experience
- Strong technical knowledge of the Canadian Income Tax Act
- Strong Excel skills; Power BI/Alteryx is a plus
