Job Summary
Manager, Tax - Project Manager at KPMG leads client engagement teams through complex tax engagements, coordinating initiation to closure, monitoring progress, managing scope, schedule and budget, tracking KPIs, and presenting to clients/stakeholders. Responsible for adhering to standard project management processes, developing project charters and execution plans, guiding risk management and issue resolution, facilitating internal/client meetings, and overseeing change control. Requires engaging with senior management and clients, and willingness to travel. Qualifications include a Bachelor's degree or approved professional designation (CPA/JD/LLM/EA or similar), at least five years of PM experience in professional services, and proficiency with MS Office; PMP is preferred. Demonstrated ability to lead, mentor, and deliver objectives under aggressive timelines.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or higher (accredited college/university)
- Professional credential: CPA, JD/LLM or EA (or other approved designation)
- Minimum five years of project management experience in a professional services environment
- PMP certification is preferred
- Strong skills in business modeling, management consulting, organizational development, process improvement, tax, strategy and operations
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite; SharePoint and Project experience preferred
- Willingness to travel (travel likely under 10%)
