Job Summary
Manage Design and Installation Projects with schedules, BOMs, and tracking. Creates hardware design solutions including mechanical and electrical aspects. Supports product line, generates ECOs/ECRs, designs improvements, identifies part/assembly alternatives, and documents products. Performs Engineering calculations using Excel, including thermal analysis, power consumptions, and network bandwidth. Improves product line using 3D models, ANSI/ASME drafting standards, cable design, and simple circuits. Supports projects during sales, installation, and maintenance by communicating product capabilities and specifications. This role supports the large-scale commercial electro-mechanical sensor array platform for TransCore, a subsidiary of ST Engineering.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in an Engineering field preferred or equivalent experience
- SolidWorks ability
- Basic knowledge of circuits and programming
- Mechanical aptitude
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Understanding of Engineering Standards, especially ECO systems
- Management or Project Management experience
- Understanding of NEMA / IP-rated enclosures and/or sheet metal fabrication
- Experience with firmware, programming, circuits, and Linux operating systems
- Hands-on troubleshooting of electrical and mechanical assemblies
