Job Summary
Lead a team of systems engineers by providing technical direction, coaching, and career development while establishing priorities and managing workload. Oversee system requirements from concept through verification, ensuring traceability and approving documentation and change management activities. Partner with engineering leadership to define enterprise architectures, conduct reviews, and support design evaluations and risk assessments. Drive verification and validation planning, resolve technical issues, and champion continuous improvement initiatives to enhance system reliability and security. Build strong partnerships across engineering, technology, and business teams to deliver stable, scalable solutions aligned with compliance standards.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field
- Minimum 6 years of experience in systems engineering, software engineering, computer engineering, or a related discipline
- Minimum 3 years of leadership experience managing people, technical teams, or functional groups
- Demonstrated success leading technical teams and cross-functional initiatives
- Strong understanding of systems engineering principles and lifecycle methodologies
- Experience with requirements management, verification and validation, systems integration, and risk management
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills
Desired Qualifications
- Experience managing systems engineering operations in a mid-sized enterprise environment
- Strong background in enterprise infrastructure architecture, deployment, and support
- Experience with VMware, Hyper-V, and other virtualization platforms
- Experience supporting Cisco UCS platforms and related infrastructure architecture
- Knowledge of patch management, vulnerability management, and threat remediation practices
- Familiarity with configuration management and change control processes
- Experience with requirements traceability and management tools
- Telecommunications and contact center technologies, including flow design, automation, and reporting
- Proven success implementing process improvements and operational best practices
