Job Summary
Manager, Systems Engineering for DoD at Nutanix leads and coaches a nationwide US Federal presales team, acts as a floating Systems Engineer for coverage, drives channel enablement, recruits and mentors engineers/managers, manages regular 1:1s and cross-functional meetings, and serves as an escalation point for pre- and post-sales in a federal context. Role emphasizes leadership, mentoring, relationship-building with customers and channel partners, leveraging cloud-first strategies, and travel (~50%). Requires a Bachelor’s degree in CS/EE or related field (or equivalent), 10+ years Federal Sr./Pre-Sales experience, 3-5+ years in management, virtualization/storage domain knowledge, and preferred Top Secret clearance. Remote work arrangement with potential in-office engagements as needed.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent work experience)
- 10+ years of experience as a Federal Sr./Pre-Sales Systems Engineer
- 3-5+ years in a management role
- Strong knowledge of virtualization and storage markets
- Strong communication and presentation skills
- Top Secret clearance preferred
