Job Summary
Recruit, hire, and onboard engineers to build and lead the APAC Systems Engineering team from the ground up. Define and maintain service-level objectives and error budgets for production systems while ensuring infrastructure remains reliable, scalable, and secure. Partner with Development, Security, and Product teams to align initiatives with strategic roadmaps, overseeing incident response, post-mortems, and risk mitigation. Drive automation and tooling to reduce manual toil across Azure environments and CI/CD pipelines, implementing monitoring standards for production and pre-production settings. Promote a culture of blameless post-mortems and knowledge sharing to improve system observability and developer productivity.
Required Qualifications
- Proven experience leading platform, SRE, or systems engineering teams
- Deep knowledge of Azure architecture, services, and IaC
- Experience defining and tracking SLOs, SLIs, and error budgets
- Knowledge of incident management and post-mortem culture in SRE environments
- Hands-on experience with CI/CD systems (Buildkite, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps)
- Strong understanding of Kubernetes, containerization, and distributed system operations
- Solid software development skills (Python, Go, Ruby, or Bash)
- Excellent leadership, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills
- Track record of attracting and retaining strong talent
- Experience recruiting, hiring, and onboarding engineers
- Ability to define and maintain service-level objectives (SLOs) and error budgets for production systems
