Job Summary
Manager Systems Engineering 2 role overseeing a section of Systems Engineers, responsible for supervision, IFC management, IFC Responsible Engineer direction, and ICD guidance to subordinates. Manages cost, schedule, technical performance, and quality across system/mission thread work packages, subsystems, or related groups on large-scale contracts. Acts as a Control Account Manager (CAM). Requires strong leadership, staffing, performance evaluations, budgeting, and technical guidance; needs active Top Secret clearance and willingness to travel (~10%). Preferred SAFe Release Train Engineer experience, EVMS familiarity, and prior military aerospace development exposure.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) discipline and 9 years of systems, aerospace, mechanical, or electrical engineering experience OR a Master’s Degree in a STEM discipline and 7 years of systems, aerospace, mechanical, or electrical engineering experience
- Recently demonstrated knowledge of Systems Engineering practices
- Active DoW Top Secret clearance that is in scope with ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (PAR) access as determined by business needs
- Experience with IFC processes and milestones
- Preferred: Advanced STEM Degree, 5 years experience with IFC development and management, SAFe Release Train Engineer training and experience, SAFe PI milestone planning
- Experience running PI milestones using SAFe methodologies
- Previous Systems Engineering leadership experience
- Understanding of EVMS
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Experience in military aerospace development environment preferred
- U.S. Citizenship required for government clearance
