Job Summary
Lead global regulatory compliance for fire and life safety products across North America, Europe, and China by defining and executing the company’s compliance strategy. Serve as the primary regulatory authority liaison, integrating compliance requirements into product design, development, and lifecycle management while optimizing certification cycles, costs, and predictability. Mentor and develop compliance, engineering, and product teams on applicable codes, standards, and regulatory requirements; manage communications with test and certification agencies to ensure timely approvals; provide regulatory risk assessment and escalation support for complex environmental or legal issues.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree
- 5+ years of progressive experience in fire and life safety systems, regulatory compliance, certification engineering, or product safety
- Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree within a technical discipline (Engineering, Engineering Technology, or related field)
- Working knowledge of EMC (FCC, IC), UL, ULC, FM, CSFM, NYFD COA, and environmental compliance requirements.
- 5+ years of experience mentoring and managing people.
