Job Summary
Oversees the daily operations of the South Tower Surgery department, ensuring adherence to practice standards, regulatory requirements, budgeting and adequate department coverage. The South Tower Surgery department provides intra-operative care for same-day and inpatient surgeries across ENT, GYN, General, Eye, Plastics, Lithotripsy, Urology, Pain, and other service lines as needed. Responsible for assessment, problem-solving for care issues, and delivering patient care throughout the surgical experience from handoff in Pre-op to transfer to Phase I or II. Requires knowledge of AORN standards to supervise care across inpatient, outpatient, medical and surgical areas.
Required Qualifications
- Associate's Degree in Nursing
- Washington Registered Nurse License
- National Provider BLS - American Heart Association
- 3 years of recent management experience in a perioperative setting or extensive perioperative leadership
