Job Summary
Oversee receiving, warehousing, and distribution operations while leading cycle counts to maintain 99%+ inventory accuracy. Recruit, train, and mentor staff, setting performance KPIs and conducting appraisals to foster safety and accountability. Utilize WMS and ERP software to track goods and generate analytical reports, ensuring the facility meets OSHA standards and maintains material handling equipment. Manage the department budget by reducing waste, optimizing labor costs, and negotiating with freight carriers. Forecast labor needs and space requirements based on seasonal trends, resolving logistics delays and equipment failures. Walk and stand for extended periods on concrete floors, occasionally lifting items up to 25 pounds.
Required Qualifications
- Seven to ten years of relevant experience
- Minimum Education: Bachelor's degree in a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Ability to forecast labor needs and space requirements based on seasonal trends
- Advanced knowledge of WMS (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or Manhattan Associates) and Microsoft Excel
- Ability to occasionally lift and move items weighing up to 25 pounds
- Must have the sensory acuity to operate or oversee the operation of heavy machinery and maintain situational awareness
- Ability to walk and stand for extended periods on concrete warehouse floors
- Comfortable working in varying temperatures (some warehouses are climate-controlled, others are not) and around loud machinery
