Job Summary
Manager, Supply Chain accountable for procurement, contract management, and supplier performance on mining/oil-gas projects. Requires steering contract strategy, planning and reporting, coordinating with legal, risk, finance, and internal stakeholders, and leading negotiations and post-award contract management. Role involves on-site rotation during construction, hybrid travel to the Corporate Office in Toronto, and potential transitions to Goldboro or Goliath project sites in Ontario/NS. Includes focus on Indigenous community initiatives, local hiring commitments, and comprehensive benefits; travel required to project sites and corporate office. Candidate should have a Bachelor’s degree, 15+ years in contracts/procurement within oil & gas or mining, 10+ years field experience on Owner/EPCM teams, professional supply-chain designation (CSCMP CPSM or equivalent), strong leadership, negotiation, and risk-management capabilities.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or related field
- 15+ years of related oil and gas or mining industry experience in contracts and/or procurement-related roles
- 10+ years project specific field experience in a full-time capacity as part of an Owner’s team or EPC/EPCM company
- Supply chain designation (CSCMP CPSM or equivalent)
- Advanced understanding of contract types, costing models, and related legal/commercial terms
- Strong negotiation and dispute resolution skills
- Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
- Valid driver’s license (Class 5 in Nova Scotia)
- Ability to work with minimal supervision
