Job Summary
Lead programmatic initiatives for the stroke sub-service line and assure compliance with Primary Stroke Center certification requirements. Serve as the point of contact for stroke treatment throughout the hospital, working collaboratively with the Stroke Committee Chairman and key stakeholders on all stroke efforts. Function as a clinician, educator, consultant, and researcher with the primary responsibility for promoting quality care for stroke patients. Coordinate and manage care of stroke patients to meet multiple service needs, ensure continuity of care, and eliminate fragmentation of services across the continuum. This role supports the Stroke Committee at Piedmont Cartersville.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate from a nursing program
- Associate's Degree and five (5) years of recent and relevant clinical experience related to stroke care
- Bachelor's Degree and three (3) years of recent and relevant clinical experience related to stroke care
- 3 years of recent and relevant clinical experience related to stroke care and a bachelor's degree
- 5 years of recent and relevant clinical experience related to stroke care and an associate degree
- Experience with data analysis and research
- RN - Registered Nurse - Georgia State Licensure and/or NLC/eNCL Multistate Licensure
- Current License in the State of Georgia as a Registered Nurse or NLC/eNLC Multistate License
- NIHSS certification

- Master's degree
- CNRN - Certified Neuroscience Registered Nurse
- SCRN - Stroke Certified Registered Nurse
