Manager, Strategic Sourcing

Job Summary
Manage strategic spend categories and preferred supplier relationships by developing business plans and executing sourcing projects. Analyze current spend data to identify cost reduction opportunities, negotiate contracts, and optimize vendor relationships for assigned categories. Educate business units on sourcing policies, enforce procurement processes, and report on category management metrics to establish service level standards. Ensure integrity of material and vendor master data while supporting ad hoc implementation needs. Requires travel averaging 12 percent or less, with a Bachelor's degree and 5+ years in procurement or category management. Proficiency in E-Procurement systems such as Ariba or GeP is required.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree
- minimum 5 years of business-related work experience
- Minimum 5 years of experience in procurement or category management
- Experience in vendor negotiations
- Proficiency in E-Procurement systems such as Ariba or GeP
- Intermediate to advanced skill level in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
- Ability and willingness to travel up to 25%
- Requires several hours per day of sitting, getting up and down from chairs, reaching, and/or bending
- Requires manual dexterity with normal hand and finger movements for typical office work, including the operation of computers, telephones, and similar equipment
- Requires ability to comprehend and communicate with others, verbally and/or in writing
- May require travel by automobile and airplane for business
- May require visits to warehouse operations in temperatures at or below freezing
- May require the occasional lifting, carrying, positioning, and/or moving of objects weighing up to 20 pounds
