Job Summary
Manager-level strategic finance role supporting Etsy’s Product and Engineering teams. Lead the complete financial and strategic narrative for product progress and performance, partnering with Analytics to develop business cases, track performance against goals, and translate data into executive-facing views. Independently conduct ROI analyses, cost-benefit frameworks, and payback models to guide roadmap prioritization, and own the annual budgets, quarterly forecasts, long-range plans, and monthly P&L for the area. Serve as a trusted strategic advisor to product and engineering partners, drive cross-functional initiatives, build scalable financial models, and guide senior leaders on resource allocation. Requires presence in Etsy’s Brooklyn Office once or twice per week due to proximity; equity, annual bonus, and full benefits are part of the total rewards package.
Required Qualifications
- 8+ years of experience in product finance, strategic finance, strategy & operations, FP&A, management consulting, or a similar analytical role
- experience shaping performance data narratives and metrics
- finance or strategy partner to product and engineering teams
- experience with product experimentation (A/B testing, persistent experiments) and causal measurement approaches
- experience with enterprise planning tools (Anaplan, Adaptive Insights, Planful) and data platforms (Snowflake, BigQuery, dbt, Looker)
- ability to build financial models and executive-facing analyses
- strong communication and storytelling for senior leaders
