Job Summary
Manager of a licensed Starbucks café inside Macy’s, responsible for overall operation, profitability, and leadership of a Supervisors and Baristas team. Oversees cafe operations to meet brand standards, health/sanitation regulations, and financial goals. Develops labor plans, controls costs, manages inventory and vendor relations, ensures food safety, handles cash/POS, and partners with Macy’s and Starbucks leadership to align strategies. Requires High School diploma or equivalent and 2+ years of retail/food-service management; ServSafe or local permit; ability to obtain Starbucks certifications; flexible schedule; occasional heavy lifting. Focus areas include staff development, customer service excellence, cost control, food quality and safety, and operational leadership.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent
- 2+ years of retail, restaurant, or food service management experience
- Starbucks or Starbucks licensed cafe experience preferred
- ServSafe certification or state/local health department food handler permit
- Ability to obtain Barista Basics, Barista Trainer, Daily Ops, and LS Leader certifications for Starbucks Licensed leaders within introductory period
- Flexibility to work days, evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Able to lift at least 30 lbs and perform physically demanding tasks as described
