Job Summary
Lead a defined departmental area in LifeLabs' Specimen Management, driving operational excellence and a culture of quality and continuous improvement. Responsibilities include inspiring leadership, coaching, and mentorship; implementing departmental strategies; fostering employee development and succession planning; ensuring regulatory, privacy, and quality standards compliance; building relationships with employees, clients, and partners; and guiding planning and resource management to support sustainable operations. Requires post-secondary education with progressively responsible business experience and 3-5 years of leadership experience; experience with specimen management and onboarding hospital clients is preferred. Salary CAD 81,431–103,825 annually; comprehensive benefits package; in-person work with travel across the region. Vaccinations may be required per provincial regulations.
Required Qualifications
- Post-secondary education in business/related field
- 3-5 years leadership experience
- Experience with Specimen Management or related lab operations
- Understanding of Operational Management Process (OMP) and data-driven workflow optimization
- Experience onboarding hospital clients and contract/non-OHIP work preferred
