Job Summary
Manager/Specialist, Medical Affairs, Hematology (Japan) leads Medical Affairs activities for Janssen Hematology brands in Japan. Develops and executes Medical Affairs strategy (Integrated Medical Affairs Plan, Business Plan, Integrated Evidence Generation Plan) to address medical and scientific issues and ensure appropriate use of MA-supported products. Identifies gaps and collaborates with internal/external stakeholders (Regional/Global MA, R&D, Market Access) to implement the strategy, develop publications and communications, and oversee Company Sponsored Studies and Collaborative Studies. Responsible for compliant MA activities under Japan Legislation and HCC rules. Role requires BS degree (PhD/MD preferred), 5+ years MA/R&D/Marketing experience in pharma, strong presentation and stakeholder engagement skills, and proficiency in PowerPoint/Excel/Word. Fluency in Japanese and English is required. Based in Tokyo, Japan.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science degree required in Life Sciences or related field
- 5+ years of experience in Medical Affairs, R&D, or Marketing in the pharmaceutical industry or equivalent
- Strong knowledge of Hematology and Oncology preferred
- Business level Japanese and professional level English
- Demonstrated ability to develop and implement medical strategies and publications
- Experience with Advisory Board Meetings, publication activities, and evidence generation plans
