Job Summary
Senior Transportation Procurement Manager responsible for developing/refining procurement strategy for a portfolio of Fortune 500 clients, managing a small procurement team, and engaging with supply chain leaders to design and maintain best-in-class transportation solutions. Directly interfaces with carrier and customer leadership, conducts RFPs, analyzes price and service, negotiates terms, and builds strategic relationships with service providers. Supervises team members, coordinates with internal operations and support services, and contributes to continuous improvement and strategic customer initiatives. Requires a Bachelor's degree and 7+ years of related experience with strong communication and procurement strategy skills.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Logistics or related field
- Seven (7) years or more experience
- One (1) year or more experience in negotiations and building strategic business relationships
- Experience supervising others
- Experience presenting to internal & external customers
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Knowledge of logistics and procurement strategies/principles
- Knowledge of MS Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
