Job Summary
Lead and develop the Africa Solutions Engineering team through regular feedback, mentoring, and career development while managing day-to-day activities including performance reviews and workload planning. Recruit, interview, and onboard new Solutions Engineers in partnership with Human Resources, setting clear objectives aligned with regional and company goals. Build strong relationships with Sales, Professional Services, Customer Support, and Product Management to partner on strategic customer opportunities and ensure an excellent customer experience throughout the sales cycle. Contribute to business strategy by identifying market trends and providing technical guidance to support strategic sales opportunities.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience
- Experience leading and developing technical pre-sales or Solutions Engineering teams
- Strong understanding of networking technologies, application delivery and cybersecurity
- A proven ability to coach, motivate and develop technical professionals
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to a range of audiences
- Strong relationship-building skills and the ability to work effectively across Sales, Product Management, Professional Services and Customer Support
- Commercial awareness and the ability to balance customer needs with business priorities
- Self-motivated, collaborative and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
- Must be able to work from the office a minimum of 30 business days per quarter (for employees within 30 commutable miles of an F5 office)
- Must be able to come into an F5 office to work or travel to an offsite location as needed (for Remote employees)
