Job Summary
The Manager of Software Test Engineering (ETL) is responsible for defining and executing QA strategy across all product lines, serving as a QA lead to enhance collaboration with other teams. Key duties include overseeing manual and automated test solutions, developing new test frameworks, and creating effective testing strategies aligned with organizational goals. The ideal candidate will have over 13 years of testing experience, including leadership in an agile SaaS environment, and strong communication skills. Proficiency in QA methodologies and various testing tools is essential.
Required Qualifications
- BS/MS degree in CS, EE, or related field.
- 13+ years of experience as a test engineer with focus on both manual and automated testing.
- 6+ years of experience in a leadership role for quality assurance in an agile SaaS environment.
- Proven track record in leading the architecture, design, development and operations of enterprise scale testing frameworks.
- Proficiency in QA methodologies, software testing principles, concepts, verification/validation techniques, and test management.
- Excellent analytical, research, documentation, project planning and implementation skills.
- Skills to communicate effectively cross-functionally across various teams, organizations and internal and external stakeholders to drive engineering efforts.
- Ability to adapt and willingness to learn new technologies and techniques.
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in big data technologies such as Hadoop, Spark, or similar.
- Good exposure of Kubernetes, Docker, Elastic Search, Kibana, Grafana, Prometheus.
- Working knowledge of micro-services based API and load testing tools.
- Experience using various bug tracking tools such as Jira, and test management tools such as TestRail or XRay.
