Job Summary
Manage workflows and backlogs for the Metrologists and Software teams, balancing tactical needs with long-term strategic goals while developing metrics to track quality and efficiency. Lead the Software Quality program by establishing CMMI strategies, defining operating criteria, and conducting inspections, testing, and verification to ensure compliance with PROPS and Calibration Directives. Direct the development and maintenance of standards, processes, and systems for the SureCal application and equipment tracking database, while participating in root cause analysis and corrective actions. Serve as the key interface between technical groups and the Calibration Production Team, ensuring project documentation meets contractual requirements.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in a STEM
- 8 years of related experience
- Master's degree and 6 years of related experience
- People management experience
- Demonstrated experience in technical problem solving, including root cause analysis, solution development, corrective/preventative action and verification/validation
- Exposure to Software and Object-oriented programming languages, and its development and maintenance
- Ability to obtain and maintain US Government Security Clearance
- US Citizenship

- Key interface for the two groups with the Calibration Production Team
- Developing metrics and targets regarding the quality and efficiency of the work of the two teams and managing to those targets
- Ensure that relevant requirements (PrOPS, Calibration Directives and others) are both kept up to date and followed
- Participate/lead both improvement and root cause/corrective actions in the defined areas
- Determine a CMMI strategy for Software, lead its implementation
- Develops, modifies, applies, and maintains standards for software quality operating methods, processes, systems and procedures
- Conducts software inspection, testing, verification and validation
- Implements software development and maintenance processes and methods
- Ensures measures meet acceptable reliability standards
- Develops overall operating criteria to ensure implementation of the software quality program according to project, process and contract requirements and objectives
- Ensures that project and process control documentation are compliant with requirements, objectives and/or contract
- Reviews software design, change specifications, and plans against contractual and/or process requirements
- Reviews include applicable specifications, materials, tools, techniques, and methodologies
- Performs or directs verification of software requirement allocations, traceability, and testability
- Strong communication, interpersonal, organizational and decision-making skills
- Proven ability to be resourceful, well-organized, able to multi-task and coordinate assignments

Desired Qualifications
