Job Summary
Provide leadership, direction, and vision to software engineering teams, including offshore contractors and interns, while driving change activities across the software development lifecycle. Collaborate with development peers, product leaders, and project managers to ensure successful delivery of software components and report progress to senior management. Support talent identification, succession planning, and resource allocation, contributing to department budget oversight and operational planning. Manage technical expertise in database technology, design, and optimization, guiding teams through delivery and continuous improvement initiatives. Work with global teams to deploy ethical AI solutions that improve productivity in the legal market.
Required Qualifications
- Software development experience with demonstrated technical expertise including experience managing software engineering teams
- Expertise and proven experience in various staffing and resource models
- Strong proficiency in database technology, design and manipulation, optimization, and best practices
- Knowledge of normalized and dimensional data modeling principles and their application to complex business needs
- Expertise in techniques for design and code reviews of offshore technical proposals
- Strong collaboration, communication, and stakeholder management skills
- Experience guiding technical teams through delivery and continuous improvement initiatives
- Understand how AI is transforming software engineering and how AI tools can improve engineering productivity across activities such as coding, testing, requirements generation and prototyping
