Job Summary
Lead full-stack engineering pods responsible for building product surfaces including campaign management, unified dashboards, and low-latency supply/demand APIs. Direct-manage a team of Senior, Mid-level, and Junior Full Stack Engineers across front-end, back-end, and data domains, conducting 1:1s, guiding career development, and handling performance management. Partner with Product Leads to translate business goals into technical roadmaps, scoping, and sprint execution while ensuring consistent delivery of robust, reliable product surfaces. Drive high architectural standards, coach engineers on API design and service scalability, and lead recruitment efforts to scale the pod with diverse, top-tier talent. Ensure overall service health, observability, and performance through incident management, post-mortems, and equitable on-call practices.
Required Qualifications
- 2+ years of direct people management experience leading software engineering teams
- 8+ years of hands-on software development experience building high-scale, production platforms
- Strong background in full-stack architecture
- Heavy emphasis on distributed back-end systems
- API design
- Data modeling
- Low-latency performance
- Familiarity with polyglot environments (e.g., TypeScript/React on the front end; Java, Kotlin, Go, Python, or C++ on the back end)
- Proven track record in mentoring senior/staff engineers
- Navigating complex technical trade-offs
- Resolving cross-pod dependencies
- Deep comfort with modern Agile methodologies
- CI/CD practices
- Cloud infrastructure (AWS/GCP)
- Operational metrics (SLAs, SLOs, system health)
- Fits an M3 Manager level—demonstrating capability in managing operational/tactical execution, influencing pod-level strategy, and owning performance and career growth for direct reports
- Must be local to the posting location
