Job Summary
Lead and manage a 6-8 engineer team focused on building the technology behind LA28 experiences; stay hands-on with code reviews and troubleshooting while guiding architecture, QA, infra, and operations to deliver high-quality software. Drive technical initiatives, set team health and development priorities, collaborate with Product and Design to align goals, and provide technical direction on tradeoffs. Own hiring, onboarding, and scaling efforts; champion AI to enhance product development and engineering productivity. Bring deep experience in systems design and full-stack development (C#, .NET, SQL, microservices) and strong CI/CD and AWS implementation, with bonus exposure to Kotlin, containerization, observability, and building SDKs. This leadership role includes leading a security-conscious, scalable backend and contributing to a global ticketing platform in a live entertainment context, with a pay scale of $160,000-$180,000 and eligible bonuses. The employer does not offer work visa sponsorship. The role is hybrid in Los Angeles, CA, USA.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of progressive, hands-on technical leadership experience as a Senior or Lead Software Engineer
- 3+ years of people management experience, with direct responsibility for at least 4 engineers
- Strong systems design and full-stack development experience, including .NET, SQL, and microservices architectures
- Experience operating in a continuous integration and continuous delivery environment
- Experience building, deploying, and supporting solutions in AWS
