Job Summary
Lead, coach, and grow a six-software-developer team primarily based in Burnaby, BC, owning the architecture, modernization, development, and delivery of the Gift and Loyalty platform — a high-visibility, enterprise-grade solution serving Moneris merchants across Canada. Drive engineering best practices including shift-left testing, code review standards, CI/CD hygiene, and continuous improvement. Provide hands-on technical leadership at the architectural and code-review level, with a focus on the .NET ecosystem patterns and platform performance. Translate business requirements into technical roadmaps and manage delivery against committed timelines. Communicate team progress, risks, and KPIs to leadership and cross-functional stakeholders. Collaborate with Infrastructure, Security, and Product teams to ensure solution alignment and platform integrity. Champion a fun, inclusive, and results-driven team culture. Evaluate and advocate for emerging technologies that improve platform quality and developer productivity.
Required Qualifications
- 3+ years of engineering team management experience
- proven track record delivering enterprise-scale solutions with high availability and quality
- hands-on C# and .NET development
- experience with cloud services, particularly Microsoft Azure
- experience with test automation (unit, API, UI)
- strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
- ability to present technical concepts to technical and non-technical audiences
- independent, self-starting work style in ambiguous/fast-moving environments
