Job Summary
Lead and manage Xcel Energy's Social Investments program, including major projects, philanthropic programs, and foundation partnerships; develop and execute the Social Investments strategic plan that complements Customer and Community Relations efforts and the operating company’s mission. Responsible for internal and external executive-level engagement to manage representation on Community Boards of Directors. Oversee Foundation grant partnerships in the OpCo community focused on STEM Career Pathways, Environmental Sustainability, and Community Vitality; lead the annual employee engagement and volunteerism plan across the OpCo, including placement of employees on nonprofit boards, pro bono program management, and monthly volunteer opportunities. Manage Day of Service initiatives (media partnerships, recruitment strategies for employees, retirees, and customers, nonprofit project development), and annual United Way workplace giving. Build and manage strategic internal/external relationships to maximize impact and collaborate with Business Units to achieve area and corporate goals through community engagement. Demonstrate strong leadership, project management, and communication skills to influence outcomes and drive cross-functional collaboration.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Non-Profit Management or combination of education, training and work experience in a related field
- Five or more years of demonstrated work or foundation or volunteer experience in the community involvement area, with proven history of ability to quickly build interpersonal relationships, manage multiple projects simultaneously, communicate effectively at all levels of the organization and use influence to generate results.
