Job Summary
Lead and shape content for FM’s curatorial programs by researching Singapore’s post-independence history, acquiring artefacts for the National Collection, and producing knowledge pieces for exhibitions, publications, audio guides, and digital platforms. You will edit and ensure clarity and consistency of texts in FM’s institutional voice, collaborate with Education, Interpretation and Digital teams, and coordinate with designers, translators, and other stakeholders on curatorial projects. The role requires a background in History or Humanities with at least 5 years in curatorial, research, or editorial work, and strong writing, editing, and stakeholder-management capabilities. The FM is a new, ground-up institution, emphasizing collaboration, adaptability, and robust knowledge production across multiple formats and platforms.
Required Qualifications
- Background in History or the Humanities or related disciplines relevant to Singapore’s post-independence history and nation building policies
- Preferably at least 5 years of experience in related curatorial, research and/or editorial work
- Proven excellence in research, writing, editorial and presentation skills
- Ability to collaborate with internal teams (Education, Interpretation, Digital) and external stakeholders such as collection managers, designers, translators
- Strong project and stakeholder management skills and adaptability to fast-moving environments
