Job Summary
Manager – Shared Services role overseeing the accounting team under the Executive Director – Accounting Shared Services. Key duties include leading month-end close, analysis of balance sheet accounts and operating department income statements, preparing journal entries, reconciliations, and financial statements; mentoring accounting staff; preparing and reviewing general ledger entries; reviewing profit and loss statements; and providing reporting on company activities and financial positions. Additional responsibilities include drafting memos on accounting issues, adhering to GAAP, administering the chart of accounts and financial reports, and supporting financial system administration. Requires a bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field, 5-8 years of accounting experience with 2+ years in a supervisory role, potential CPA preference, ability to obtain Nevada Gaming Control Board registration, and flexibility to work varied shifts in a fast-paced hospitality/gaming environment.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field required
- 5-8 years of accounting experience with 2+ years of managerial or supervisory experience
- Previous experience in the gaming and hospitality industry or public accounting preferred
- Certified Public Accountant preferred
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a valid Nevada Gaming Control Board registration and any other certification or license, as required by law or policy
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with guests and other Team Members of different backgrounds and levels of experience
- Must be able to work varied shifts, including nights, weekends and holidays
