Job Summary

As a Service Experience Manager at Nordstrom Rack in Chicago, you’ll mentor and lead your team while driving store volume through Service Experience initiatives such as the Nordstrom Rewards program and gift card sales. You will recruit, hire, train, develop and motivate your team, educate employees on tools, processes and systems to enhance the customer shopping experience and increase sales, and create a solid business plan to meet service and sales goals. You’ll support department success by driving continuous improvements, partner with store and regional leaders, and leverage metrics to identify opportunities. The role requires dynamic leadership, exceptional customer service, and the ability to work a flexible schedule including evenings and weekends, with responsibilities spanning recruitment, coaching, relationship-building, and performance optimization.

Required Qualifications

  • 1+ years of successful retail management experience
  • Exceptional customer service skills
  • Dynamic leadership skills and ability to motivate and develop future leaders
  • Track record of using key metrics to identify opportunities and drive business
  • Ability to develop and maintain productive relationships with store manager, area/regional manager, and other leaders
  • Effective communication skills
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule including evenings and weekends
