Job Summary
Lead credit development, scaling, and lifecycle management for consumer financing solutions, including hire purchase offerings. Develop underwriting models, optimize approval rates, and maintain healthy portfolio metrics while balancing aggressive market growth with robust risk control. Collaborate with engineering, operations, marketing, and legal teams to launch new features and streamline origination, underwriting, and settlement processes. Continuously monitor the lending landscape to refine pricing strategies and identify product gaps, ensuring all offerings strictly adhere to the Hire Purchase Act and internal governance standards. This role requires deep expertise in hire purchase mechanics, dealer subvention, and automated credit underwriting models. Ideal candidates possess 4 to 8 years of hands-on experience in consumer lending or credit risk within fintech or alternative finance environments.
Required Qualifications
- 4 to 8 years of hands-on experience in consumer lending, product management, or credit risk
- Deep, demonstrable experience working specifically with Hire Purchase (HP) products
- Understanding of dealer subvention mechanics
- Understanding of disbursement governance
- Understanding of customer repayment lifecycles
- Strong analytical skills
- Ability to translate complex financial and regulatory requirements into clear product roadmaps
