Job Summary
Lead the Hunger and Youth Collectives as HFNY's primary coordination point, managing partnerships with Rethink Food and shared technology platforms like AfterschoolHQ and iMentor. Oversee logistics for the Pantry Delivery program, facilitate peer learning convenings, and track impact metrics aligned with strategic goals. Serve as a trusted relationship manager for a portfolio of nonprofit partners, guiding them through the grant cycle, capacity-building workshops, and annual reporting. Plan and execute network-wide events, including the Nonprofit Partner Convening and Don't Walk By outreach, while developing long-term strategic plans for future collectives.
Required Qualifications
- Deep commitment to serving the poor and marginalized
- Personal alignment with HFNY's Christian faith mission
- Manager level: 3–5 years of relevant professional experience
- Senior Manager level: 5–7+ years, including demonstrated leadership of complex, multi-stakeholder initiatives
- Strategic thinker, creative problem-solver
- Proven ability to manage relationships with diverse stakeholders — nonprofit leaders, community partners, vendors, and internal teams — with warmth, diplomacy, and integrity
- Strong project management skills; able to hold multiple workstreams simultaneously, set priorities, and deliver results on deadline
- Comfort with data: able to track outcome metrics, manage reporting systems, and use data to inform decisions and communicate impact
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Experience facilitating group meetings, trainings, or peer learning sessions
- Self-starter who takes initiative and thrives in a scrappy but collaborative, mission-driven environment
- High level of professionalism, maturity, and discretion with internal and external stakeholders
- Flexible and adaptable; open to feedback with a humble and positive attitude
- Bachelor's degree required
- Familiarity with New York City's nonprofit sector and faith-based community
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in collective impact, backbone organizations, nonprofit program management, capacity building, or community organizing
- Advanced degree in a related field
- Proficiency in Salesforce, Asana, or similar CRM/project management platforms
